On Oct 5th 2012, Sr. Roberta Freeman CSJ received the Ontario Senior Achievement Awards at Queen's Park for her community service in Toronto. Her name was submitted by Nancy Hawkes, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development of St. Elizabeth Health Care, for her contribution during her years on their Board and as a founding member of their foundation.

We are grateful for...

She came to St. Paul's Basilica in late 1990's and ever since has been a strong and quiet presence. Sister Margaret has given to St. Paul's in so many ways as parish assistant. She has been a spiritual provider, a manager, mentor, and a very hard worker. Sister Margaret has touched everyone at St. Paul's from the altar servers, food room volunteers and clients, shut-ins and the sick of the parish to mention a few. Her tasks have been many and she did it all with compassion, kindness and care.
