Sr. Georgette Tells the Story of the Mobile Dental Clinic's History

Sr. Georgette Gregory speaks.

"The Mobile Dental Clinic is a 40-foot customized coach that is fully accessible and is equipped with two dental stations, a sterilization centre and a reception area. The clinic is staffed by a dentist, registered dental hygienist and a certified dental assistant. The bus will travel throughout Toronto visiting neighbourhoods and community agencies Monday to Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sr. Roberta Freeman Receives the Ontario Senior Achievement Award

On Oct 5th 2012, Sr. Roberta Freeman CSJ received the Ontario Senior Achievement Awards at Queen's Park for her community service in Toronto. Her name was submitted by Nancy Hawkes, Senior Vice President, Corporate Development of St. Elizabeth Health Care, for her contribution during her years on their Board and as a founding member of their foundation.

We are grateful for...

She came to St. Paul's Basilica in late 1990's and ever since has been a strong and quiet presence. Sister Margaret has given to St. Paul's in so many ways as parish assistant. She has been a spiritual provider, a manager, mentor, and a very hard worker. Sister Margaret has touched everyone at St. Paul's from the altar servers, food room volunteers and clients, shut-ins and the sick of the parish to mention a few. Her tasks have been many and she did it all with compassion, kindness and care.

Sister Betty Lou’s Farewell to Creative Works Studio

On Dec. 1, 2011, at the annual CWS Art Exhibit, Sr. Betty Lou Knox bade goodbye to Creative Works Studio after 13 years in ministry there. When asked what her role was, Sr. Betty Lou did not hesitate, "I was there to support the dream."

Did you think Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto are found only in Toronto? Meet Sister Trudy Zunti, pictured at right, who received an award for her work after 3 ½ years in Thompson, Manitoba, where she lived with Sister Andrea Dumont. Sister Trudy is on the short side, round, blue-eyed and smiling — about the most welcoming, non-threatening person you could hope to meet.
