World Refugee Day (UN): Stand With Refugees

June 20 is a day when the whole world commemorates the resilience and strength of refugees. Currently, there are more than 65.5 million forcibly displaced people around the world. 

Earth Day 2018: A World Without Plastic Pollution

Since 1970, Earth Day has been celebrated around the world on April 22.

Blue Scarf Earth Day Walk

Event Date: 
April 22, 2018 - 12:00pm - 4:00pm

Please consider joining this Earth Day event on Sunday, April 22. There will be an initial gathering from 12 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. at the Cardinal Flahiff Basilian Centre at 95 St. Joseph Street to prepare posters for the walk while enjoying a pizza lunch.

The walk will begin at Queen's Park (north end) and go from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. You can click here to see the poster.

Feast Day of St. Josephine Bakhita: Prayer and Resources

February 8 is the feast day of Saint Josephine Bakhita, a Canossian Sister who was kidnapped and sold into slavery in Sudan but eventually won her freedom. Consequently, February 8 is also the International Day of Prayer and Awareness Against Human Trafficking.
