Studio on the Hill

A Day in the Life of Sr. Helen Kluke

Responding to the call reveals the mystery of God’s loving embrace. Leaving High School teaching and Food Services management behind, Fontbonne Ministries’ Studio on the Hill pottery studio has opened and enriched the path along which I am being led in ministry. Every day is different. Additional groups add exciting challenges.

Celebrating Fontbonne Ministries Volunteers

On May 4, 2014, over 80 people attended the Fontbonne Ministries Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon at St. Paul's Basilica Parish Hall. In a beautiful parish hall decorated with colourful balloons and flowers, Fontbonne Ministries volunteers gathered with staff and Sisters. Together, they enjoyed a meal and celebrated the volunteers' contributions to different Fontbonne Ministries programs.

During the event, Sister Thérèse Meunier voiced her gratitude to Fontbonne volunteers.

Studio on the Hill: Speaking with Clay

For Sister Helen Kluke, Ministry Director and Teacher at Studio on the Hill, pottery sessions are a unique experience for each person. “I think that we can use clay to speak from our hearts.” Studio on the Hill is part of Fontbonne Ministries.

In recent years, different organizations have contacted Sister Helen for retreat days and group pottery sessions at Studio on the Hill. Some groups have been for women aided by Street Haven. Recently, a group of Jesuits from Cardoner House attended.
