Retreat Boosts Associates in their Faith Journey

Maureen McCabe, a CSJ Associate, shares her experience of the CSJ Associates retreat.

Like many I had been looking forward to the CSJ Associate retreat for months; it lived up to everything I expected and more!

Missioning: Sent to Serve the Lord and One Another

On Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto, along with the CSJ Associates, gathered in Morrow Park chapel to be "missioned." Each year on the feast of St. Joseph, the Sisters renew their vows of chastity, poverty and obedience; this renewal is a reminder of who they are. The annual missioning ceremony is a reminder of what they do.

Accompanied by Sisters on my Spiritual Journey

Mary Huan, a CSJ Associate, shares her experiences on her spiritual journey.
In 1999, I realized that I needed to find a life outside home and work. After a full day's work, regular housework, and looking after my mother who needs full-time care, I was experiencing burnout.

Associates Renew Their Commitment and Welcome New Members

On April 18, 2010, over 60 CSJ Associates and Sisters gathered to share liturgy and lunch and celebrate the Associates’ Annual Commitment Ceremony. The morning featured an opportunity for current and new associates to join in prayers and reflections. In small groups, the associates shared with each other what their associate commitments meant to them, how the charism of the community shaped their lives and service to others, and how the associates brought light into the world.

2010 Associates' Assembly Day at Morrow Park

On Saturday, March 6, 2010, some 65 Sisters and CSJ Associates gathered at Morrow Park where Father Terry Gallagher SFM, pictured at right, aided by a panel of his friends, opened to them the world of interfaith worship and spirituality.
