Commitment Day 2012

Linda Greszczyszyn, Theresa Franco, Susan Ward and Kim Gottfried-Piché.

We celebrated Commitment Day on April 22nd at Morrow Park. This was a special day because the CSJ Associates are celebrating their 30th anniversary. Over 70 Associates and Sisters were on hand to learn about the founding of the Sisters of St. Joseph in France in 1650 and their arrival in Canada in 1851. The Galilee Associates Community organized this year’s retreat, which started off with fellowship, prayer and song.

160 Years Later...

One hundred and sixty year ago, October 7, 1851, the Sisters of St. Joseph arrived in Toronto. And this October, fittingly on Thanksgiving weekend, many Sisters and CSJ Associates gathered in the Morrow Park chapel to give thanks, to remember and to celebrate.

Associates and Companions Celebrate Fr. Médaille’s Anniversary

Hamilton CSJ Companions and Sisters invited the CSJ Associates of Toronto to celebrate the 400th birthday of Father Médaille’s at the Hamilton Motherhouse on Nov. 20, 2010. Pictured at right with Mary Huan in pink at her side, Sister Doreen Kraemer, a Sister of St. Joseph of London, facilitated the topic on “Living from Our Rich Heritage”.

Retreat Boosts Associates in their Faith Journey

Maureen McCabe, a CSJ Associate, shares her experience of the CSJ Associates retreat.

Like many I had been looking forward to the CSJ Associate retreat for months; it lived up to everything I expected and more!

Missioning: Sent to Serve the Lord and One Another

On Sunday, Oct. 3, 2010, the Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto, along with the CSJ Associates, gathered in Morrow Park chapel to be "missioned." Each year on the feast of St. Joseph, the Sisters renew their vows of chastity, poverty and obedience; this renewal is a reminder of who they are. The annual missioning ceremony is a reminder of what they do.
