Paint Nite with Sister Virginia Varley
What a lovely evening I had with some Catholic women studying at Ryerson University. I had been invited by Susan Goncz, the newly hired Catholic chaplain, to lead an evening of painting.
There were 12 women in attendance on October 19, 2016. I was to bring one of my paintings, talk about it in terms of its significance to me and then to describe how I painted it.
The painting I took with me was titled A Universe Rhapsody. Each participant was to do a rendition of my painting. For this portion, I suggested that each one reflect on the part of the painting that first caught their attention and to do a rendition of that part.
