O’Gara Ecumenical Essays Published
The Catholic Register, January 16, 2015 — One of Canada’s greatest theologians is still publishing more than two years after she died. Margaret O’Gara, whose teaching on ecumenism and papal primacy formed a generation of Canadian scholars of the Church, has a final volume of essays coming out, thanks to her husband.
Margaret O'Gara was a theology professor at the University of St. Michael’s College in Toronto whose goal in her 37 years of work as a theologian was to foster dialogue among Christians for the sake of overcoming divisions between the churches. In 2007, the Sisters of St. Joseph established a Chair in Systematic Theology at St. Michael's College and Margaret O'Gara was the first professor to hold the chair.
