Village Mosaic receives Gem of the Lakeshore award

For the fifth year in a row, Village Mosaic has been awarded a certificate of nomination as a GEM of the Lakeshore in Etobicoke. This year, this Fontbonne Ministries program was one of 16 organizations who won an engraved crystal shield for being voted the best in their category. Our award was “Best in Culture & Recreation” in south Etobicoke.

The Gem award was an initiative of Laurel Broten, MPP. The BIA solicited nominations for a number of categories such as best restaurant, best business service, best community service, etc.. The Honourable Bernard Trottier, MP has continued the program and held a presentation ceremony at the Royal Canadian Legion Hall on July 10, 2014. Sister Conrad Lauber, pictured above right in green, attended as Ministry Director of Village Mosaic, as did Andrea Linton, Program Coordinator at Sister Conrad's left and Leanne Kloppenborg, Administrator, pictured at right.

On presenting our award, Mr. Trottier expressed a wish to visit Village Mosaic and we look forward to seeing him soon.
