Ursula Matthews Awarded Jubilee Medal
On April 27, 2012, Ursula Matthews, Co-Director of the CSJ Associates, was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal in a presentation that took place at the Captain Bellenden Hutcheson VC Armory in Etobicoke. She is pictured here on the right with Conrad Lauber CSJ on the left.
This commemorative medal was created to mark the 2012 celebrations of the 60th anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s accession to the Throne as Queen of Canada. It honours those who have made a "significant contribution to a particular province, territory, region or community within Canada." Ursula is a long-time associate who serves as the CSJ Associate Co-Director with Mary Duffy. Ursula also volunteers at Fontbonne Ministries’ Village Mosaic and is an active member in her local parish, Our Lady of Sorrows. She has also raised money for Haiti.
During the year of celebrations, 60,000 deserving Canadians will be recognized for their contributions to Canada.
