Sisters Move their Business Offices
The Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto moved their Leadership Team and business offices from 3377 Bayview Avenue to 101 Thorncliffe Park Drive on Aug. 25, 2011. The Sisters renovated a two-storey office building in the East York area, making it accessible. The building holds the offices of their Leadership Team, business office and some ministry offices.
“Change is a part of life for everyone, including our Sisters and staff,” said Sister Thérèse Meunier, Congregational Leader. “Sisters and staff have worked hard to find this building and get it ready for our use. We look forward to a smooth transition and the new opportunities this move brings.”
Since the Sisters needed a smaller home more in keeping with their needs today, they sold the Morrow Park property to Tyndale University College & Seminary in June 2006. They began the search for a new home, now under construction at 2 O’Connor Ave. and slated for completion in the spring of 2013. The Sisters wanted their new residence to have a home-like atmosphere with offices in a separate building. The Sisters and staff will move offices first since renovations there are complete. The Sisters will move into their future residence when it is ready.
Opened in 1961, the Morrow Park property will be used by Tyndale University College & Seminary as a centre of Christian education and training. Its chapel will be used as sacred space.
The new Administration Centre for the Sisters of St. Joseph of Toronto is now at:
