Fontbonne Recognizes its Many Volunteers

On May 7, 2006, Fontbonne Ministries threw a party to thank the many volunteers for their help. During lunch, a guitar played softly in the background. All volunteers received a green Fontbonne mug filled with coffee beans.

Administrator Joan Breech acknowledged how important volunteers were to the fulfillment of the  mission and ministry of Mustard Seed, In Good Company and Studio on the Hill.

Volunteer coordinator Leanne Kloppenborg quoted from a poem by Joy Cowley, The Bridge, to describe the role volunteers fulfill so well:

"There are times in life
when we are called to be bridges,
not a great monument spanning a distance
and carrying loads of heavy traffic,
but a simple bridge to help one person from here to there..."
