National Day of Prayer in Solidarity with Indigenous Peoples

Since 2002, December 12 has been the National Day of Prayer in Solidarity with Indigenous Peoples. Let us pray for and with our First Nations People in Canada, asking God to bless them on this day and all days. 

Federation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Canada Becomes a Blue Community: Working Towards Making Clean Water a Human Right

On December 10, UN Human Rights Day, the Federation of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Canada will become the first group of religious communities in Canada to be designated a "Blue Community" which supports the right to safe drinking water.

National Housing Day – November 22

In 1998, the Toronto Disaster Relief Committee declared homelessness to be a national disaster by means of a “State of Emergency Declaration.” This formal statement was immediately endorsed by various individuals, community agencies, faith groups, labour unions and government entities.

Training for Friendly Visitors

Event Date: 
November 25, 2017 - 9:00am - 4:00pm

A one-day training session for anyone who is involved with individuals who are homebound or isolated and those who are applying to volunteer in our friendly visiting program. Training provided by the In Good Company program staff. We will explore topics such as:
