Faith, the City, and a Child Poverty Reduction Strategy
Almost 150,000 children in Toronto live in poverty. Faith in the City is an initiative of various faith leaders and city officials encouraging faith communities to work across their traditional boundaries, and in co-operation with the City of Toronto, on issues of common social concern. Its 2015 Symposium will include an exciting roster of speakers, panels, and workshops with the focus of developing a Poverty Reduction Strategy and specifically how that relates to children. The event takes place on April 30th at Toronto City Hall. Registration costs $20 and can be done online at the Faith in the City website.
