ADVENT RETREAT: An Examen of God's Coming Presence in Your Life

Faith Connections, Jesuits Volunteers Canada, and St. Peter’s Young Adult Ministry invite young adults (18-39 years) for an afternoon retreat for Advent.
 
Advent is a time of eager anticipation and longing for God's presence in our lives. While on retreat we will reflect with other young adults about God's presence within your own life, being mindful of your personal spiritual journey while moving forward.

Newman Centre - Raising Faith-Filled Kids Group

Mark your calendars dear families and expecting parents! Raising Faith Filled Kids invites families with young children to spend some time in front of Jesus in the Eucharist, and to socialize with other families in preparation for the Advent season.
 
This time will provide parents with an opportunity to pray in a relatively quiet and meditative atmosphere while their little ones are around.
 
In addition, during family prayer, there will be an opportunity for young children to pray and sing at the chapel.

Lectio Divina with Cardinal Thomas Collins

Lectio Divina ("divine, or sacred, reading") is the name given to a spiritual tradition among Christians over the last two thousand years. This form of prayer involves three distinct stages: a) reading a short scripture passage b) reflecting on the passage and c) a short period of silence.
 
We begin with Vespers (Evening Prayer) at 7 p.m., followed by Lectio Divina from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m.
 
All are welcome to join Cardinal Collins for this special evening of prayer.
