Harper's Last Stand: Truth or Reconciliation?

This event will feature Arthur Manuel and other Aboriginal panelists speaking on a variety of issues including land, economies and ongoing contemporary matters. The evening’s program will be facilitated by Gordon Peters, Grand Chief of the Association of Iroquois and Allied Indians.

This event will be a chance to:
  • Focus on educating our peoples and the general public about our histories, worldviews, treaty relationships and contemporary issues;  
  • Build support networks with interfaith and intercultural relations amongst First Nations, Metis and Inuit peoples and various church and social justice groups and diverse cultural groups; 
  • Celebrate the culture and traditions of Aboriginal peoples; and
  • Explore future partnerships and collaborations with groups of like minds.

Admission is free, donations are welcome, cheques should be made payable to Council Fire.
