Meet The New Associates of 2013
On April 20, 2013, three Associate candidates made their first commitment at 2 O'Connor Drive during the annual retreat day. The new Associates shared their thoughts below.
"When I was young, the Sisters of St. Joseph were my teachers at St. Joseph's College School and they helped me with a great deal. I went on and did other things in my life, but now that I'm retired and my children are grown, I thought this was a wonderful time to reconnect with the Sisters of St. Joseph through the Associates."
"I first learned about the Associates by attending the Walmer Road gathering organized by the Sisters of St. Joseph. I decided to become one of the Associates so that I could emulate the charism of the Sisters. The Associates deepen my faith. I know they are going to be there for me. I feel really blessed that I'm around them."
"I was the vice-principal of St. Joseph's Morrow Park Catholic Secondary School, so I knew about the Sisters and the Associates for a long time. But I was so very busy with my career that I chose to wait until I retired and then I joined them. I appreciate the friendliness of the Sisters of St. Joseph and I wanted to continue my spiritual journey with them."
