Sister Mary Dailey
"I entered the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1939 and graduated from the St. Michael's Hospital School of Nursing in 1946. I ministered as a registered nurse in all of our health care institutions: St. Michael's, St. Joseph's, Our Lady of Mercy, St. Joseph's Hospital in Winnipeg and the Infirmary at Morrow Park for a number of years. For a period of time, I was the operating room administrator at St. Michael's Hospital. I took the Medical Record Librarian course at St. Michael's Hospital and served as a medical record librarian at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital and St. Joseph's Hospital for several years.
"When I retired from hospital ministry, I moved to Invermara where I was sacristan and assisted with the upkeep for almost four years. One of my favorite memories is the time I spent there.
"From Invermara, I moved to the Motherhouse and began my prayer ministry and assisted with various tasks around the house where I was able.
"Declining health led me to move to Providence Health Care in 1999 and in December of 2009, I became a resident of Maple House in the Houses of Providence.
"I have great devotion to the rosary and I believe that my devotion to Our Lady and the support from the staff at Providence and the congregation has seen me through many difficult times. I continue in the prayer ministry and pray daily for the needs of the congregation, the church and the world."
