Nature Meditation — August

The beautiful rose and our lives are similar in so many ways. Both begin with a seed. The rose grows and develops into a full-blown flower. We too grow into adulthood. The journey to maturity both for the rose and for us is marked with positive and negative elements. The rose experiences delicate rain and frigid ice and snow. We experience love and care together with lack of love and rejection. Through this life experience, we grow stronger. Pruned by ordinary things and cleansed and nourished by waters of divine love and grace, we, like the rose, begin to open ourselves to others.
