Winter's Worship

I gaze in awe upon
A sun-filled snowscape fair.
The pregnant Earth is clothed
In radiant winter wear.

Snow-cowled shrubs, mantled trees,
Breathe frosty morning mist,
Rising now in steaming clouds
Toward a heavenly tryst.
Lo, a vast cathedral,
As silent psalms ascend,
Piercing heaven's portal,
Where muted voices blend.

Creation now rejoicing,
Proclaims the oft-told story,
Of Winter's fruitful waiting.
To God forever, Glory!
