What is God's Name: Reflections on the 'Faces' of God

The message delivered
The exchange ended
Before her consenting word
Had died away.
The Spirit singing
Came on the air
To Mary expectant there,
Touched the strings of her sinews
Filled the hollows of her flesh
With the Word of the song
Left the lute of her soul humming
Then rose like a crescendo
And hung brooding again
Over this new creation.
