As sisters, there are three important components to our life:
Because our life is a love relationship with God and God's people, prayer is part of the daily fabric of our lives. To grow in this relationship, we pray the morning and evening Prayer of the Church, often called the Divine Office. We spend quiet time with Scripture, in centring prayer or with some other form of prayer. Once a week we gather to share how God is present in our lives. We have regular retreat days and make a yearly retreat of eight days.
Join us in praying with Scripture at Pray with us.
As Sisters of St. Joseph, our gospel call is to nurture relationships of love. We live this mission in various ways that build community and foster communion among people. In community, we discern how we can best share our gifts to meet these needs in our present world.

As women religious, we value community life as essential for living the commitment we make. Community enables us to encourage, support and challenge one another in our efforts to live faithfully the gift of our vocation. We share the normal tasks of daily living and enjoy our evening meals together, as well as times of prayer. Celebrating and relaxing with one another are important aspects of our life.
Go to Community life.
Ordinarily a sister's day will begin with time for personal prayer. She will then leave for her ministry, returning home in time for supper. Praying with her sisters, before or after supper, sharing her day with them, attending to responsibilities in the community, time for private prayer, relaxation all have a place in the rhythm of her life. In the context of community life, each sister participates in decision-making.
